Corrections and Updates
Everything we have changed in a published guide, with the date and a plain description of what changed. Published in full — a corrections page is only worth reading if it includes the entries nobody enjoys writing.
- Every entry links to the article it belongs to
Two things end up here, and only these two: a factual error in something already published, and a rule that has changed since we described it. Fixing a draft before it ships is editing, not correcting, and logging it would pad this page with work nobody ever saw.
Typos and formatting are not logged either. If a change alters what the article tells you to do, it belongs on this page; if it does not, it does not.
Marrying Abroad as a Russian Citizen: The Document Checklist
- 31.07.2026 corrected by the editors Restored an illustration inside the text. A repository change removed the image file from the server while the published article still referenced it, so readers saw an empty frame. The wording of the article did not change.
How a correction gets here
Most come from readers. Someone writes to say a consulate asked for a document our article does not mention, or that a fee has moved, and that is more reliable than any schedule we could set ourselves. Some come from our own work, when an order runs into a requirement that contradicts what we published.
Either way the article is changed, the entry appears here with its date, and the article itself carries the same note under the text — so a reader who lands on the guide directly sees it too, without having to find this page.

Something here out of date?
If an article no longer matches what an office asked you for, tell us — with the country and the document if you can. It will be checked, and if we were wrong it will appear on this page.
