What to Send Us

  • A clear scan or photo of the full Russian document, including every page, stamp, and seal
  • The language you need the translation in: English, Italian, Spanish, German, or French
  • The country and, if you know it, the specific office you will submit the document to
  • Whether that office has told you it needs the apostille on the original document rather than on a translated copy
  • A mailing address abroad for courier delivery of the finished, apostilled paperwork

Here is how this service works. We do not touch your original Russian document. Instead, a Krasnodar notary makes a certified copy of it, a certified translator produces the translation, and the notary certifies both the copy and the translator’s signature. The Krasnodar regional department of the Russian Ministry of Justice then attaches the apostille to that notarized copy and translation, not to your original paper.

This matters because, under the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention, an apostille on a notarized copy is legally treated the same way as an apostille on the original. Most foreign authorities, including civil registries, universities, employers, and immigration offices, accept it without question. That is why this route works for the large majority of people who need a Russian document recognized abroad, and it is often faster than waiting for an apostille on an original that may have been issued far from Krasnodar.

There is one important exception. A handful of countries and specific procedures ask for the apostille to sit on the original document itself, not on a certified copy. Italian citizenship (cittadinanza) applications are a well-known example: many Italian consulates and comuni want the apostille stamped directly on the original birth or marriage certificate. Check the table below, and always confirm with the exact office handling your case before you order, since local practice can differ even within the same country.

No Translation Error Guarantee

If a foreign office rejects our translation specifically because of a translation error on our part, we correct it and re-apostille the notarized copy at no charge.

Applies to our own translation, notarization, and apostille work; does not cover a specific receiving office's requirement (such as an apostille on the original instead of a copy), or documents that were incomplete or illegible before we received them.

Documents Issued Outside the Krasnodar Region

We only apostille documents through the process described on this page: a notarized copy and translation made in Krasnodar, apostilled by the Krasnodar regional Ministry of Justice. We do not apostille original documents issued outside the Krasnodar region, because the Ministry of Justice office that can attach an apostille to an original is normally the one in the region where that original was issued.

If your case is one where the receiving country specifically requires an apostille on the original, and your original was issued outside the Krasnodar region, this notarized-copy service will not meet that requirement. In that case we can either refer you to a partner in the region where your document was issued, or, if it fits your situation, help you order a fresh duplicate certificate from Krasnodar so the whole chain, original and apostille, happens in one place. Tell us upfront if you know your destination needs the apostille on the original, so we can point you to the right option before you pay for anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an apostilled translation of a Russian document?

It is a package made up of three things: a notarized copy of your Russian document, a certified translation of it into your target language, and an apostille stamp from the Krasnodar regional Ministry of Justice attached to that notarized copy and translation. It lets a foreign authority confirm the document is genuine and read it in their own language at the same time.

What is the difference between an apostille on a notarized copy and an apostille on the original?

An apostille on the original goes directly on your source document, issued in the region where it was created. An apostille on a notarized copy goes on a certified copy and translation made by a notary, usually in Krasnodar. Under the 1961 Hague Convention, both are valid and most countries treat them the same way. A small number of countries or specific procedures, such as some Italian citizenship applications, ask specifically for the apostille on the original, so it is worth checking before you order.

Can I get a Russian diploma apostilled and translated for a WES or ENIC evaluation?

Yes. We notarize a copy of your diploma and transcript, translate them into English or another language you need, and have the Krasnodar Ministry of Justice apostille the notarized set. WES, ENIC, and most university credential evaluators accept an apostilled notarized copy rather than requiring the apostille on the original diploma, but always check the specific evaluator's current instructions, since requirements can change.

Do you apostille original documents, or only copies?

We apostille notarized copies and translations made by a Krasnodar notary. We do not apostille original documents issued outside the Krasnodar region, since that has to be handled by the Ministry of Justice office in the region where the original was issued. If your situation needs the apostille on the original itself, tell us and we will point you to the right option, including a partner in the issuing region if needed.

How long does the whole process take, from order to delivery?

Translation, notarization, and the apostille usually take 7 to 10 business days. You get the scanned copy by email as soon as that is done. The physical original then goes out by international courier, which typically adds another 1 to 3 weeks. All together, plan on roughly 2 to 5 weeks door to door to the EU or US, though the scan arrives much earlier.

Which languages can you translate into?

English, Italian, Spanish, German, and French. Tell us which one you need when you send your document, since price and turnaround can vary slightly by language pair.

How do I know if my destination country needs the apostille on the original instead of a copy?

Check the country table on this page for general guidance, but the safest answer always comes from the specific office handling your case, such as a consulate, comune, university, or immigration department. Rules can differ between offices in the same country and can change over time, so we recommend confirming directly with them before you order, especially for citizenship and family-status matters.

We are not a Russian government agency and not a law firm. We arrange notarization, translation, and Ministry of Justice apostilles through licensed professionals in Krasnodar. We apostille notarized copies and translations, not original documents issued outside the Krasnodar region. Some countries and procedures require the apostille on the original itself; check the country table above and confirm with your receiving office before ordering. Typical door-to-door delivery to the EU or US is 2-5 weeks, depending on translation workload, notary and Ministry of Justice schedules, and international courier transit.
