A notarized translation goes a step further: a Russian notary certifies the signature of a translator registered with that notary's office, which is the format Russian authorities such as ZAGS, courts, banks, and Rosreestr require. Will a European bank accept a non-certified translation for KYC purposes?
Many do, because KYC review is an internal risk and compliance process, not a court filing. Banks, compliance teams, and advisors frequently just need to read and understand a document quickly, and a professional translation is enough for that. If your specific bank or authority has told you it requires a certified or sworn translation under its own country's law, this service is not the right fit, and you should ask them exactly what certification they require.
Can you provide a sworn or certified translation recognized in an EU country?
No. Sworn translation status is granted by the courts or authorities of the country where the translation will be used, and only a translator sworn in that specific country can produce it. We are a Russia-based translation service; our professional translations are meant for internal review and due diligence, not as a sworn court filing.
