A large share of the Arabic-Russian translation work we do is for students: an incoming student from Egypt, Syria, Jordan, or the Gulf needs a secondary school certificate and transcript translated and notarized before a Russian university will process their enrollment, and a graduating student needs the reverse when their Russian diploma has to be recognized back home. Alongside student paperwork, ATT Translation Services also handles business documents for companies working between Russia and Arabic-speaking markets, and personal documents for Arabic-speaking residents and visitors in Russia, or Russians with family, property, or business ties in an Arabic-speaking country.

Documents We Regularly Translate

  • Secondary school certificates and university transcripts, for admission to Russian universities
  • Diplomas and academic records, for recognition by Russian or foreign institutions
  • Business documents, including contracts and corporate paperwork, for companies trading between Russia and Arabic-speaking countries
  • Birth, marriage, and death certificates, for personal and family matters
  • Powers of attorney, for property, business, and family arrangements

One written Arabic, many spoken dialects

Spoken Arabic varies significantly from country to country, but official documents are almost always issued in Modern Standard Arabic, the standardized written form used across government offices, universities, and courts in every Arabic-speaking country. That consistency is useful for document translation: a birth certificate from Cairo, a diploma from Damascus, and a business license from Dubai use the same written register, so our translators work from a single standard rather than needing a different specialist for each country of origin. Names and technical terms are still transliterated carefully to match how they already appear on a person’s other Russian paperwork, since Arabic script has no direct letter-for-letter equivalent in Cyrillic.

For a translation to be accepted by a Russian university, ZAGS office, or other authority, it has to be notarized by a Russian notary, and Russian notary law requires the translator to be registered with that specific notary’s office — an unregistered translator’s work, however accurate, is often not accepted. We work with translators registered for Arabic-Russian notarized translation for exactly this reason. If your original document needs legalization or an apostille before translation, that step has to happen in its country of origin; we do not perform it ourselves, but we can tell you what your receiving office in Russia expects once we see a scan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you translate transcripts and diplomas for university admission in Russia?

Yes, this is one of the most common requests we get for Arabic. We translate secondary school certificates, transcripts, and diplomas into Russian and have them notarized so a Russian university's admissions office can accept them.

Which dialect of Arabic do you translate?

Official documents are almost always issued in Modern Standard Arabic regardless of the country, so our translators work from that standardized written form rather than a regional spoken dialect. If your document uses unusual regional terminology, mention this when you send it and we will confirm before starting.

Can you translate business and corporate documents between Russian and Arabic?

Yes, we translate contracts, corporate paperwork, and other business documents in both directions for companies working between Russia and Arabic-speaking countries.

Does my document need an apostille before you translate it?

It depends on the document and the country of origin. We do not perform apostille or legalization ourselves, since that can only be done in the document's country of origin. Send us a scan and tell us where it needs to go in Russia, and we will confirm what is required.

How do I get a quote for an Arabic-Russian translation?

Send a scan of your document through Telegram and we will confirm price and turnaround before you order. We typically reply within 2 hours during working hours, 9:00-20:00 Moscow time, Monday through Saturday.

You May Also Need

We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We do not perform apostille or consular legalization ourselves — these are carried out solely in the document's country of origin. Notarized translation into Russian requires a translator registered with the certifying notary's office under Russian notary law, which is why translations we prepare are accepted where similarly informal ones are not.
