Dutch-Russian translation requests are lower in volume than some of our other language pairs, but the situations behind them are familiar: a Dutch citizen with a Russian spouse or Russian family needs a marriage certificate or birth certificate translated, a Russian company needs a contract or corporate document translated for a Dutch business partner, or a Russian citizen needs a Dutch document translated for a personal or property matter. Some requests come from Dutch nationals who have lived or worked in Russia and need their own paperwork translated for use back in the Netherlands, and others come from Russian families with Dutch relatives who need documents translated for inheritance, residence, or civil registration purposes. ATT Translation Services handles these on a by-request basis, matching each order with a translator qualified for that specific document type.

Documents We Translate on Request

  • Birth, marriage, and death certificates, for family and residence matters
  • Diplomas and academic records
  • Powers of attorney, for property and family business
  • Business documents and contracts, for companies working with Dutch partners
  • Corporate documents, for registration and due diligence purposes

What to expect with a smaller-volume language pair

Because Dutch-Russian documents come to us less often than our higher-volume language pairs, we confirm translator availability and turnaround individually for each order rather than quoting a standard timeline in advance. This does not mean the work is any less careful — every notarized translation into Russian is still prepared by a translator registered with the certifying Russian notary, as required under Russian notary law, so the finished document is accepted by ZAGS offices, courts, and other Russian authorities. For translations from Russian into Dutch, we work from the original document and prepare a translation that matches the terminology and formatting the receiving Dutch institution expects, though final acceptance rules are set by the office in the Netherlands, not by us.

If your document originates in the Netherlands and needs to be used in Russia, check with the receiving Russian office whether the original also requires an apostille before translation. The Netherlands is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, but the apostille itself must be obtained from the Dutch authority responsible for that document type — we do not perform apostille or legalization ourselves. Send us a clear scan and we will confirm what your specific document needs, along with turnaround and price, before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you translate Dutch documents into Russian?

Yes. We translate Dutch personal and business documents into Russian, with notarization by a Russian notary when the document needs to be accepted by a Russian authority.

Is Dutch-Russian translation slower than more common language pairs?

It can take slightly longer to confirm turnaround since we match each order individually with a qualified translator, but we will tell you the exact timeline before you commit to an order.

Does a Dutch document need an apostille before you translate it?

In most cases, yes, if it needs to be used officially in Russia. The Netherlands is part of the Hague Apostille Convention, but the apostille has to be obtained from the relevant Dutch authority — we do not perform this step ourselves. Send us a scan and we will confirm what your document needs.

Can you translate a Dutch business contract for a Russian company?

Yes, we translate business documents and contracts in both directions for companies working between Russia and the Netherlands.

How do I get a quote?

Send a scan of your document through Telegram and we will confirm price and turnaround before you order. We typically reply within 2 hours during working hours, 9:00-20:00 Moscow time, Monday through Saturday.

You May Also Need

We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We do not perform apostille or consular legalization ourselves — these are carried out solely in the document's country of origin. Notarized translation into Russian requires a translator registered with the certifying notary's office under Russian notary law, which is why translations we prepare are accepted where similarly informal ones are not.
